What are the duties and/or tasks you perform at your job? Helping customers, decorating cakes, baking, building displays, paper and computer daily charting.

What qualifications do you have for this job in the following areas:
a) training? I was trained for many years in different areas of the department._______________________________________________________

You also work with a variety of people of all ages so being friendly and helpful to everyone in an asset. What are some of the things you like about the job? _ I like the flexibility I have with my schedule, being able to be creative, working with people, and being in a workplace where I am can get lots of physical activity. __________________________

What are some of the things you dislike about this job? _It can sometimes be difficult dealing with customers and their needs. Sometimes its is really hard to get up at 4am, but you are off at 130 in the afternoon and it can feel like you still have a whole day left to do things!_________________________

How do you anticipate this job changing in the next 5 years or so? __I don’t anticipate a huge change in my job. However, things are constantly changing, new products and ideas from the company can make it seem like its hard to keep up!__________________

Give three reasons why you would like this job (be specific):a)_______________I love doing hands on things and all I did there is lift boxes and stock shelfs so I really enjoyed that.__I spent 7 hours stocking shelves but I liked it so I didn’t mind _____________________________________________ _b) _I love helping people when they need help finding something I just love helping people where ever I can _____________________________________________________________ __c) _I also love to bake food so when I saw all the dough getting made in the big mixer it felt like I was in heaven._____________________________________________________________
Give three reasons why you would not like this job (be specific)a) one reason I wouldn’t like this job is because it would be really hard to wake up at 4 in the morning everyday.___________________________________________________________ _________b)___After 5 hours my legs really started to get sore and it was hard to stand so I couldn’t work as hard as I was before.____________________________________________________ __________c)__There are so many different types of people so it gets hard to deal with them and I got a little annoyed with a couple of my mom’s employees. ____________________________________________________

__This job is totally for me I loved all of it epically helping people when they needed help this was one of my favorite days in my entire life. ________________________________________________________________________________________

Explain the value of the TYKTW experience in relation to your ideas about your post secondary (after high school) plans (education?, training?, travel?, work?).

The value would be with people skills and talking with people I enjoyed talking with people who work there and take their experience a shift it into this write up. I had a very fun day at my mom’s work.

Hotel Rwanda reflection

I thought the movie was very sad and hurtful because all of the whites got to leave and the blacks were left to die. At first i thought it was dumb that Paul didn’t go on the bus when his family did but he couldn’t leave his hotel guests to die so i understand why he did. When Paul and one of the workers of the hotel drove down the river road and they started driving over bodies that gave me a pit in my stomach. Also all the Hutus wanted to kill the Tutsi and they were targeting kids to wipe out the next generation. All of the Tutsi went to the mille Collins hotel to try to be safe most of the people had to sleep in the hallway because there was no more room. Overall it was very sad and i am glad that Paul and his family are safe.
