My name is Zaneera, I am a grade nine and a student at heritage woods secondary school. I play basketball and have been since grade 5. I enjoy playing because I get an adrenaline rush from exerting myself on the court. A recent hobby in my life has been scuba diving. I have only been diving in Vancouver but this winter I am going diving in Mexico. I had a diving incident that caused me to be scared of getting back in the water. However, I got over my fears and got back into the water. I don’t tend to give up often and I enjoy diving so I was not going to let something get in between that. When I grow up I want to be a forensic psychiatrist. They are the psychiatrists that work with criminals and people in secured mental hospitals. If I have the ability to help someone and give them a better life that is something I would like to pursue. Normally, these people are n0t treated correctly. I don’t judge people from their past, everyone has the ability to grow and be a better person. If I were to judge someone from their mistakes I would be a hypocrite because I have made mistakes in the past as well that I would not want anyone to judge me for. I believe no matter what you do there is always a turning point, you just need to patience and strength to get there.

Quote

My favourite quote is “You can’t stop the future you can’t rewind the past the only way to learn the secret is to press play”. This is a quote that I am able to relate to. I have made mistakes in the past that I cannot change, I want the most fulfilling life and problems will occur throughout the rest of my life but I cannot stop them. Analyzing this quote I believe that it is expressing the importance of living in the present. You can stress all you want about the future but you will still have to face it. You can regret your mistakes from the past but you eventually have to come to terms with your mistakes and consequences.

My favourite youtube video is a video of Gordon Ramsey making beef tacos with wasabi mayonnaise. I love to cook and bake just about anything. I make thanksgiving dinner every year for about twenty people by myself. One of the chefs who’s food I look up to is Gordon Ramsey. I have watched this video at least thirty times and I have never made this recipe. It is something I would love to try out.

I tend to spend a lot of my spare time on this website. When I complete my assignments and am not spending time with my friends I watch Netflix as a wind down time for myself. When I do self care days I enjoy watching Netflix and doing activities that benefit my body and skin.

When I am older I want to start an organization for stray dogs in parts of Bangladesh and Pakistan. Walking down the streets in parts of those country there are several stray dogs that have malnutrition problems. A major part of my life are animals and I want to help those in need. I want to open an organization in those parts of the world because they don’t have the funding and the opportunity to help those animals in need.
