About me
My name is Adam Johnston and I was born in Vancouver, British Columbia. I am currently in grade 9 at Heritage Woods Secondary School, and I am enjoying my time so far. Outside of school one of my hobbies is video games. I like to play call of duty, rainbow 6 siege, counter-strike global offensive and other shooter games. I also play basketball. I play for TCYBA. I also like to watch sports. I consider myself a L.A. Lakers fan for basketball and a Vancouver Canucks fan for hockey. My overall goal in life is to graduate university, get a job and eventually have a family of my own.
A quote I like is “Be yourself, everybody esle is taken” -Oscar Wilde. I like this quote as it makes me feel that it is good to be myself. I believe that everyone is different and that should be accepted. This also says to me that you shouldn’t 100% fake how you are towards someone. Overall not a bad quote
I can’t honestly say this is my favourite video as I don’t have one. However it is a funny one that I thought I might as well include. The video consists of a bait “who’s that pokemon”, then cuts in to Rick Astley’s “never gonna give you up”. This video is also known as a rickroll which is where you bait somebody into clicking a video and it cuts to Rick Astley’s “never gonna give you up”. I chose to use this video as I thought that it was school appropriate, while still being a little bit funny. As I said though I do not have a favourite video.

YouTube is my favourite website as there is so much to do. It can keep me entertained for hours on end. YouTube also let’s i me watch exactly what I want to watch. It also gives opportunities to people to get paid for doing what they love. Whenever I get bored the first thing I will do is go to YouTube and check my subscription feed. There I have enough videos to last me through the rest of the day. I like how YouTube is also free and has everything forever unless a creator decides to remove the video. YouTube is also helpful for me when I am in school. It has endless tutorials on basically everything that I could ever need. Overall I think that YouTube is a good example of pretty close to a perfect website and that is why I chose it as my favourite.
The image that I chose is called “The bold and the brash”. It is a fine work of art by a man named Squidward Tentacles. In all seriousness though it is a drawing from spongebob. Yet again I thought that it would be funny to include another pop-culture reference. I also included this as I couldn’t decide what would be a good unique picture to use. I ultimately went with this one as the picture looks funny and I used to watch spongebob as a child.
