About Me

A Little bit about me

My name is Aidan Campbell and I am currently a grade nine student at Heritage Woods Secondary. I was born in Vancouver and am still living here with my family of four, five if you include my dog. One of my absolute favourite things to do is play and watch soccer, I started playing when I was around three years old and I am still playing today, I actually won provincials with my team over the summer and scored in the final from centre back which is the position I play. I am also a very big Chelsea supporter as you will come to learn in the next few paragraphs, I have never seen them play in person but I hope to one day cross that off my bucket list. Something I really want to do is travel to Europe and watch a soccer game live, especially if its a Chelsea game. To be honest, my dream job is to be a lawyer and maybe even a judge one day, I really don’t know why but I am really interested in law and really hope I can achieve my goal. I hope you learn a little bit about me throughout this project and throughout the upcoming years at HWSS.

My Favourite Video

Draw my life by Casey Neistat is definitely one of my favourite videos of all time. What makes this video one of my favourites is because he tells the story of his life and how if you have a dream reach for it, and I find that really inspiring. In this video, he shows you how a kid from Connecticut coming from almost nothing chased his dream of moving to New York and becoming a film-maker. In the video, he brings you through all the ups and downs he went through to get where he is today, it really shows how much time and effort he put into this and that is really inspiring. He now has over ten million subscribers on youtube and is now accomplishing all of his dreams. I think one of the reasons he is so successful is because as he said in the video “I committed everything to my dream, my big dream.”

My Favourite Photo

This is absolutely one of my favourite photos ever. In this picture stands my favourite player, Didier Drogba just after he won one of the most coveted trophies, the UEFA Champions League. This photo is very special to me because I remember watching this game when I was a lot younger and it was also Drogba’s last match for the club until he later signed with Chelsea again two seasons later. Drogba was awarded man of the match after he scored a late equalizer to send Chelsea and Munich to extra time. After a very stressful thirty minutes, the game ended up leading to penalties where Drogba would score the deciding penalty winning the Champions League for Chelsea for the first time in the clubs history.

I love this website because I can keep up with all my favourite teams especially Chelsea, DAZN is also the only place in Canada where you can watch Premier League and The Champions League, the two biggest leagues in soccer. You can watch on any device from anywhere in the world which is my favourite part.

My Favourite Quote

“the biggest mistake you can ever make is being afraid to make one”

This is one of my favourite quotes of all time. I even have it written on a chalkboard in my kitchen. This quote sort of acts like a reminder to me that it’s okay to make mistakes, and when we do we learn from them. This quote is really important to me because I have experienced a lot of ups and downs in my life, and through the down’s I’ve gotten stronger and that’s why this quote really stands out to me.

  1. I really like how you have integrated various media (video, images, links) into your post. You have done a very good job constructing your page and commenting about yourself and your interests whilst still being mindful of your online presence. Good work. 5/5
