My name is Anna and I am starting Grade 9 at Heritage Woods! I previously went to Eagle Mountain Middle School. I’m excited (and a little bit nervous) to start high school! I am eager to learn as much as I can throughout my four years of high school. I enjoy reading and drawing. Right now, my favourite book is The Keeper of the Lost Cities and if you know me well enough, you’ll find out quickly that I love to draw dragons! I love the Harry Potter series as well!

My favourite YouTube video is the Wii/Kahoot remix. I don’t watch YouTube, so it was difficult for me to choose a video. One of my friends asked my if I’d heard the Wii/Kahoot remix and when I said “No” she showed this to me. I like this song because it’s an awesome mix of two great songs. It’s catchy and fun to listen to!

This is a watercolour painting of some mountains in a sunset. I painted it on one of the last days of summer. I really like this painting because it looks majestic and I’m very proud of how it turned out. It seems very magical, but it has a natural beauty to it. The video I followed to make this said that I was originally supposed to use markers for the sunset part, but I wanted to make it unique and use water colour paints instead. If you look carefully, you might be able to spot the hidden Gemini constellation I added. I like adding unique details and meanings that you can find if you look closely to my work.

My favourite website is Google. It is my favourite website because it has everything I would ever need on it. On Google, you can research anything (for a project, or if you’re curious about something), learn fun facts, and even play games! My favourite game is Snake, and you can find it on Google by typing “Play snake” into the search bar. I like its minimalist logo and I think it’s so cool how the logo changes when it’s a holiday or someone’s birthday. Google is such an amazing website and a search engine!

One of my favourite quotes has to be this one:

I like it because I can really relate to it as this is pretty much how I try to live my life. I try to be nice to other people no matter what they look like, or how they act, because that’s how I would like to be treated back. My parents always say “Treat others the way you want to be treated.” and that has really had an impact on my life. I think that this is a really pretty quote and if everyone lived like this, the world you be a happier place. I believe that it might be easier to be rude, but it’s better to be nice.
