Volunteer in Vancouver Shoreline Clean Up

This year, I participated some volunteering works with my family. The most impressive one is shoreline cleanup. Two months ago, I took part in the park cleaning activity organized by my aunt’s company at Cooper’s Park in Vancouver, BC. We spent two hours picking up rubbish along the shoreline. On the way we picked a full big bag of garbage. At the end, We had assembly meeting and had delicious food prepared by my aunt’s company. In 2019 there have been 2,739 clean up and 135,320 kg of litter collected on 4,997 km of Canadian shoreline.  I am proud to be part of it. I will continual volunteer in more Public welfare activities in the future. Our Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup 2019 results are as follows:

Cigarette butts (636)

Tiny plastic or foam (335)

Food wrappers (130)

Bottle caps (54)

Plastic bags (33)

Straws (32)
