Introducing me
Hello, my name is Halle, and I’m a ninth-grade student. I have a big family that includes my mom, dad, two brothers, and a sister. Everyone in my family is very active, so I grew up exposed to many different sports and activities. Some of my current hobbies include volleyball, running, all-star cheerleading, and snowboarding. I do many things in the little spare time I have like hanging out with friends, spending time with family and shopping, to name a few. Travelling is also something I love to do and hope that one day I’ll be able to go around the world. Some of the goals I have for this year are to, do well at cheer competitions, achieve new tumbling skills, and of course, keeping up with excellent grades. Some goals I have for the future are going to university, getting a house and having a successful job.
The quote I chose:
The quote “It’s a very short life. There’s no reason not to go after what sets your soul on fire” -unknown. This is one of my favourite quotes because I’m a very strong believer in living your life without regrets and fulfilling yourself. I think that’s what this quote is portraying. There are many instances where people start to second guess themselves, and they end up regretting something they did or didn’t do. Life is short, and memories go by fast. Never let doubts get in the way of something you love, or as the quote says, “sets your soul on fire.” If it makes you happy, then do it, nothing is worse than regretting a moment.
The video I chose:
The video I chose is titled Snowboarding Top Moments at X-games. Snowboarding is a hobby of mine and something I’ve been doing from a young age. I remember seeing this video a few years ago, and it inspired me to become a gnarly snowboarder. I love snowboarding and everything that has to do with it; being in the snow and on the mountains. I have to admit snowboarding was very challenging to learn since I first learned how to ski, but once you get the hang of it, its super fun. I hope one day I will be as amazing as the snowboarders in this video clip.

My favourite website has to be YouTube. YouTube is a very famous social media platform that’s used by so many different people around the world. It’s a fantastic invention because it can be used for entertainment and learning proposes. YouTube is like a virtual world where you can watch videos or if you want, post and create your content.
A picture that impacts me:
This is a picture of a famous cheer team after becoming world champions. All-star cheerleading is my biggest passion and has been for the past nine years. My primary goal is to go to the cheerleading world championships and be crowned a world champion. This picture speaks to me because cheer is a significant part of my life. The things I have learned in cheer is the commitment, dedication, perseverance, and the value of contributing to a team. What I like most about cheer is that I feel all my stress, and anxiety disappears. This enables me to focus on working hard and having fun while doing what I love most.
