Humans and their emotions have always been something I find interesting. The way the brain works and how certain things make different people feel, I enjoy listening to people talk about their problems and in then giving them advice and heartfelt words in exchange. I would like to believe that I’m a very compassionate and kind-hearted person and I always try my best to understand others and their point of view. These reasons are why I’m interested in becoming a psychologist when I’m older, however, good things come with a price in order to become a psychologist you need to go through 5-10 years of schooling after receiving your bachelor’s degree. First, you need to obtain a master’s degree which takes approximately takes 2-3 years and then achieves the accomplishment doctoral (Ph. D) which takes 4-6 years. I expect to be making $150,000 or more. I Believe that this job will be in very high demand in the near future because mental illness is on a rise and the recognition and acceptation are becoming higher as well. My aunt is a psychologist so if I ever have any questions or am curious about anything in this job position it is very easy for me to contact her through a few quick text messages. In conclusion, being a psychologist is defiantly the job I want when I am older and I know I’m capable of doing just that.
