My name is Tyson Venegas and I am 14 years old. Some things that I am very interested in is singing, songwriting, dancing, playing the piano, drums and guitar and playing basketball. I’ve sung at Carnegie hall, little big shots, Apollo and at the Steve Harvey show “Little Big Shots”. Some of my goals are to pursue my dream by working hard at singing and songwriting. Another goal of mine is to be able to focus and work hard in school so I can always get an A+ or B+. One of my dreams are to sing at the super bowl in front of thousands of people because I know a lot of people sang there like Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars , Beyoncé and Coldplay just to name a few and I’ve seen their performances and it just looked like everyone was having fun and gave lots of good energy to the artist and for me i find that place amazing.

I found this quote very inspiring because people would make fun of my music, my style, my singing, saying that I’ll never make it to the top just because I was a kid. But when I saw this, I felt like I could do my music, my style and my way of singing. My three wishes when I get older is to keep working hard and to never listen to those kinds of people because those are the people who want to see you fail, give up and to never reach the top. My second wish is to help my family and peers on their dreams and goals because they have helped me with my wishes in every way possible. My third wish is to help other artists if they want to work hard and respect my craft too.

Rise up by Andre Day is my favorite video because in her song she talks about how we should rise up together as one .That we will all make it even when we are tired or when your whole body is aching you will still try , fight and rise up. My favorite line from this song is when she says “move mountains” in the pre chorus .The pre chorus is where the song builds its way to the chorus which in other words where your peers sing in a song. So, this brings me to this question what does “move mountains” mean? This means that even when there are hard problems within yourself or others you will try to solve them together and move those mountains. 

I found that this website helps me the most when writing songs or finding better words for a short story. Word hippo helps you find a better word for anything. As an example, I would want to try to find another word for excited so I would write excited in the rectangle. Then you would hit “find it” then it would give you a bunch of other different words with the same meaning so in this situation I found exhilarated from excited. hopefully this website can also help you find what you want to say in your story. 

This image represents my family helping me through all my mountains. I’ve had some hard times in the past like at school or in studios because I was a kid but when my family went in, they helped me through and got me here. Just like what Andre day said, “Move Mountains” and that’s what they did with me. My mama really helped me through these mountains because she has done a lot for me like bringing me to all my auditions flying with me to record music in L.A and making me feel happy all the time even when I’m down. Hopefully one day when I have the chance of helping someone, I can trace my mama’s footsteps.
