Extracurricular

When I was around six years old I started piano lessons. It was enjoyable for the first couple of years but then began to dislike it. I quit the lessons when I was about eleven. Recently, I have once again developed an interest in it, and I restarted lessons about two months ago. I chose to talk about this because it is the most enjoyable activity I do outside of school. I think one of the impacts it has had on me is that it has helped me become more patient. Another impact I think it has had is on my hearing. I feel that I am now, more than ever, able to better distinguish individual parts of a song, as well as hear the underlying keys behind it all. So far, I have learned how to play a few Beethoven songs, as well as some other songs I enjoy listening to. I doubt it will impact my future very strongly, but I am excited to continue learning and improving my musical abilities.
