Hi, my name is Caitlin and I have just started high school and this blog. I’m looking forward to trying and learning some new things there. I enjoy activities like choir, volunteering, and creative writing. I’ve done choir throughout elementary and middle school, and I just started volunteering this summer. I also like reading, going on walks, being outside and creating iMovies and a few other presentations in my spare time. A couple of my favourite book genres are fantasy and real-life fiction, sometimes nonfiction. In my free time I am happiest writing stories or hanging out with my friends. Those are most of the things I’m interested in, and I hope to get into more activities in the future.

For now, my favourite website is https://www.instagram.com/?hl=en, Instagram. I like it because it’s easy to use and an efficient way to communicate with my friends. Instagram allows me to post photos of what I’ve been up to and keep in touch with other people about what’s going on with them. It’s also helpful if I forgot or missed something about homework and need to get in touch with people in my class, and for collaborating on group projects. All in all, instagram is useful to me because it enables me to make connections as fast as I can.

This quote, is meaningful to me because I found it while I was going through kind of a difficult time. I think it truly is harder for people who keep responding to or putting up with negative people, and sometimes the negative people can become bad influences as a result. For me, it has to do with online situations as well. If someone keeps cyberbullying someone else or trying to provoke them into responding, it’s obviously not beneficial or productive. On the other hand, if you have a good support system and helpful people around you, it could be much easier. That’s what I took from this quote and why I like it.

A video I like is The Office Bloopers (Season 2). I recently started watching the show as it was recommended by one of my friends. It’s a pretty old show, even my parents have watched it! I searched for the bloopers one day and it turns out they’re really funny. I enjoy watching them and The Office episodes because they always make me laugh out loud.

This is a photo of the sunset that I took. My family and I went to Ucluelet this summer to visit our relatives, and I took this picture from the gorgeous view outside the room where I was staying. When I look at it I remember the good times we had there. I also really like sunset pictures, sunsets are so pretty and calm. Whenever I go for a walk and see a sunset I always want to stop and take a picture of it. This picture is important to me and one of my favourites.
