Part Two:

The progress made to the 94 calls of action is stable. There are only 8 completed and 12 that haven’t even been started, however there are 21 underway. I believe that Canada could be doing much better in the 94 calls of action, and we could be doing it faster as well.

Part Three:

National Truth and Reconciliation Day

On March 9, 2023, the government of British Columbia made September 30th a stat holiday. We made a national holiday to remember the awful stories of what the first nations went through, and what they still go through from generational trauma.

63: We call upon the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada to maintain an annual commitment to Aboriginal education issues, including: (iii) Building student capacity for intercultural understanding, empathy, and mutual respect.
This assignment helps with student capacity, to help us understand different cultures, and the history of them, by further educating ourselves and thinking more in depth of the situations.

One thing I learned is that the name Kwikwetlem means Red fish up the river.
