About Me

My name is Melissa and I have an younger sister named Helena, she’s a bit on the annoying side but she’s still lovable. When we were little I would play with her everyday and teach her all the things she didnt know, I was like her personal teacher and till this day I still spend time with her but just a little less then before since I have to use my precious time on doing homework. Whenever I had spare time after doing my homework I would spend the time drawing. I usually draw anime characters, animals, and just cute stuff in general. Sometimes I would colour my drawings/ sketches, things I use are watercolour or markers. My goal is to become a very good artist and be able to draw amazing art.

“You can never cross the ocean unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.” – Christopher Columbus

The reason why I chose this quote is because it has a lots of different meanings to it. Such as, you can never get anywhere without stepping out of your comfort zone, it’s like if you don’t try something new you would never know about what you have missed or would never experience it if you don’t even try to approach it as said “unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore” meaning your goal would only happen if you try to achieve it. Another meaning for the quote could be that sometimes you have to lose your old in order to bring out the new for example, if you wanted your life to change you can’t just stick with what you usually do you have to seek out new ideas even if it means that you have to let go of your old ones.

  1. Melissa, You’ve got a good start, but you have not earned a passing grade for the About Me assignment. You could improve by doing the following:
    – All your paragraphs should contain more information. Five or six sentences per paragraph instead of one or two.
    – You didn’t embed your video (instructions on the assignment page).
    – You didn’t create a clickable hyperlink to your favourite website. Please feel free to email me if you make changes and want the page marked again. If you need help you can come see me in room 213 at flex.

    Your Mark – 2/5
