Hi my name is Mika, I am a dancer. I do hip hop, tap, jazz, musical theatre, acro, lyrical, contemporary and ballet at a very good dance school for 4 days a week. It keeps me busy but dance is a big part of my life, hopefully soon ill go on pointe! Some of my favourite hobbies are taking my cat Cucho and rabbit Abby outside in my backyard. I have 5 pets! A cat, dog, 2 fish and a rabbit, some of them live with at my dad’s house. I also, enjoy watching scary movies with friends, and most of all, I love spending time with my family.
My whole family is from Lima, Peru, although most of them live in Canada. I have traveled to Peru, USA, Mexico and around Canada. My favourite subject in school is math, although it is very challenging for me, I love trying my best and achieving good grades in it. A very important goal for me in school is getting the best grades I possibly can every year. I’m a slow learner, so understanding the teachers instructions is always more challenging for me but I believe that with hard work and positive attitude anything is possible. I was very proud in my last year of middle school as all my hard work paid off when I made it into the honour roll. Music is also a big part of my life as it relaxes and calms my mind. Pop and hip-hop are my favorite genres of music.

Instagram is also a way to communicate with my friends through direct messaging.
I love seeing pictures and quotes of dancers experiences, to see that they have went on a long journey to get where they are now, I find it very inspirational.

Molly In The Sky

My favourite image is a picture of my dog, Molly. I love this image because she went right in front of the camera while it was on the ground so you can see the sky.
Sadly, Molly passed away on August 31, 2018. This picture was taken a year and month ago. Molly was a very special dog to us, she was smart, gentle, and very loving. Molly lived until she was 13 years old, she was well loved and had a very happy life, we were blessed to have had her!

My favourite quote is “Dance like nobody’s watching, and live like it’s heaven on earth”. I identify with this quote because dance is my passion and I believe that dancing is very important to keep a healthy mind, body and soul. Dancing makes me happy and relaxed. When I feel stressed, I go to dance and it relieves my mind from worries. It’s also a great form of exercise.
