Unlike my mother’s position as a underwriting manager that she enjoys, if i had that position  I don’t think it’s the perfect job for me. some main points on why i believe this is because the constant contact to co-workers, the field in general, and the lack of freedom. Being a high school student, I am constantly learning to preserve my time for school and other activities. with my mom’s position I think that I would constantly have to depend and rely on my co-workers and always tend to their needs. I know this can get frustrating, as my mom likes to complain about it at the dinner table. In general insurance is a large field but to me it seems not fun and repetitive. Lastly and most importantly, it bores me. Jobs that are usually in an office confine me from my creativity and isolates it to try and benefit things I met not want it to. Overall, I am happy my mom enjoys the job but simply, it is not for me.:(

4. Explain the value of the TYKTW experience in relation to your ideas about your post secondary (after high school) plans (education?, training?, travel?, work?).

The value of the TYKTW was  to experience a possible future career.Throughout my day at the work place I got educated and worked on many of the  different jobs that come with insurance. though when it comes to my future I don’t think any of those jobs will fit the roles i wish to have in the future.
