The main core competency I used in the Merchant of Venice Tableau was creative thinking and a way I used it was by finding novelty and value. I did this by building off of other people’s ideas in my group. As an example, someone wanted to take a photo of Jessica running away and I said she should be covering her face because she is embarrassed of being dressed as a boy. I also wanted Portia to be smiling when morocco was choosing the wrong casket.
Another way I used creative thinking was by developing ideas. One way I developed ideas was by finding a way for our ideas to work. An example of me doing this is when I found a good angle for the camera to show jessica face and the other characters helping her run away. I also came up with where we could take one of our photos.
I need to improve on generating ideas. I am good at building on other people’s ideas but next time I need to work on making my own ideas. Next time I will also develop deliberate strategies for quieting my conscious mind to help with ideas. I used creative thinking to find novelty and value and develop ideas.
