For this assignment, we were asked to interpret a certain act of the Merchant of Venice and take photos and edit them to give us a better understanding of the play. While working on this, I demonstrated Communication. I demonstrated Communication by collaborating with my peers to develop ideas, I interpreted and helped to build on to ideas, and I gave feedback to help others succeed. For example, when we were trying to find which part of the act we were going to use, we had to develop ideas that would be easy to follow, be able to identify and be important to the play.
Another one of my strengths is being an active listener. I am able to listen to others and give constructive feedback. This is a helpful skill because with this, I am able to follow instructions well so I am more productive, and I can interpret other’s ideas so they can improve. This skill helps me in many ways because I am able to explain things to my peers if they don’t get it and I can build on my peers’ ideas to get the best possible answer.
Overall, I think this project went well because my group cooperated well. I think that I could try to contribute more by researching and taking on more of a leadership role rather than someone who gives ideas and build on to them. I am also going to try to encourage myself to work on projects in my free time instead of doing it last minute.
