Socials Venn Diagram

Communication: In this Venn Diagram project I communicated with my partner to figure out what element of the colonies we wanted to compare. We decided to compare the governments. I also used communication with technology by sharing the Venn diagram with my partner. We also talked about which colony we should use because we both had different colonies we researched. When we were making the diagram we discussed which parts each of us would do, so my partner looked at information, while I made the diagram. I also communicated with others on how I could find a Venn diagram template because I couldn’t find one.

Critical Thinking: In this project, I had to think about how I would present the information, I was originally going to use a normal 2 bubble Venn diagram, but I couldn’t find one so I went with 3. I also tried to use the same type of language in each of the bullet points, to make the info simpler. In researching the colonies, I organized the information into boxes for the category of information (gov’t, size, population, etc). When I was researching I searched keywords to find documents and websites that had lots of info about the colonies. When looking at websites I evaluated the credibility of them, looking for signs that could show that they weren’t.

What could I improve on?

In class, a lot of my time was spent trying to figure out how the website worked, how to make a presentation. To fix this I could have asked sooner instead of fidgeting around so much. Because I spent so much time figuring out the website, the quality of the diagram isn’t as good as I hoped for. I could have also put some more detailed information on with more time. I also could have talked more about the Venn diagram with my partner, asking him about the information, if there was any else he’d like to add, etc. Most of my problems could have been fixed with better communication.
