About Me

Hi, my name is Noon Khemikar Sriwichian and I’m from Bangkok, Thailand. I’m a grade 10 student at Heritage Woods Secondary School. I came here to Canada to study and experience new things. My main hobbies and interest are ballet and basketball, I also like taking pictures to capture the moment. I have learned ballet since I was 4 years old. When I was young, I wanted to be a ballerina. My ballet teacher is one of my inspirations because she not only loves ballet, but she also loves art and designs. I love listening to music, each song has a different meaning, some have deep meaning, and sometimes the meaning resonates with me. I like spending time hanging out with my friends and family. My goal is to graduate at Heritage Woods Secondary School and graduate from a Canadian University, possibly at UBC. My dream is to become a fashion designer and have a clothing store. I want to take care of my family and make them proud.

My favorite quote:

“Always, always, always believe in yourself, because if you don’t, then who will, sweetie?”
– Marilyn Monroe

The reason why I chose this quote is that I used to struggle to believe in myself. I had very little confidence. This quote reminds me that I can be successful, and I have started to take on more challenges. I always remind myself to believe in me and I have become more successful as a result. My family always tells me that to be successful, you must believe in yourself, have faith in your abilities, work hard and there is nothing that you can’t accomplish. I now know that this is true. If we don’t believe in ourselves then who will? Be positive, be confident and believe that you can do it and you’ll become a winner. Once you let the negative thoughts fade away, replace it with positivity. Trust yourself and know you can do it and you’ll succeed.

My favorite video:

This video is a heart-touching Thai commercial, the message of this video is “Don’t judge a book by its cover”. As this homeless guy always sleeps in front of the store, the owner always kicks him out thinking that this homeless guy could cause danger and that he’s repulsive.  But after that day, the homeless guy disappeared until he found out the truth.  We shouldn’t judge someone just by their appearance and their looks what matters are the heart and the actions.  Be kind and don’t judge people just by their looks. Never judge someone without knowing the whole story.

My favorite website:

https://www.youtube.com/

YouTube is my favorite website as there is a variety of content that can be found on YouTube including educational content.  It could be used as a source of information or used for entertaining. Additionally, YouTube is completely free to use in my free time I like to watch YouTube and listen to music. It is a great website to discover and explore things we like.

This is a picture that has impacted me:

This is my dog, Cocoa. She has become a part of my life, I had her since 2018. Cocoa has impacted me because I always wanted to have a dog in my family, I always thought that taking care of a dog isn’t that hard. Until I had Cocoa, she made me know that to take care of her I need to have responsibilities. She made me become another person, I need to wake up early every day to feed her and take her for a walk. When she is sick, our family has to take her to the vet. She becomes a new member of the family.
