Growing up I have played many sports; however, I was never able to stick with one, until my dad signed me up for soccer. Everyone has something that they are passionate for, something that they would dedicate their lives to. For me that thing is soccer. Soccer has been a large part of my life since a very young age. I began playing soccer when I was just four years old, and I was instantly attached. Over the many years I have been playing, I participated on many different teams, extra practices, and in camps.  I have become very passionate for this sport and I am always looking for ways to improve. I have occasionally set small goals for myself, such as, taking more shots or better passes to make myself a better player. I feel as though this sport has made me more of an outgoing person and it has brought many new opportunities into my life. I was able to travel to new places as well as meet many amazing people. My team has become very important to me and I would consider them as my second family. We all work very well together and are always improving as a team. I found this sport has taught me many skills that I use in my everyday life, such as, leadership, responsibility, and teamwork. Soccer has not only benefited me socially, it has also kept me active and healthy, physically as well as mentally. Whether it is socially or academically I become overwhelmed at times, however. When I am playing, I feel as though all my problems disappear. Soccer has always been a significant part of my life and I have devoted countless years of my life to this sport, I couldn’t imagine not being able to play.
