Last year, around 3/4 of the way into the school year, I wasn’t feeling like I was really getting the proper kind of exercise I should have been. I wasn’t very comfortable in my body and started to feel insecure, as there was a lack of results I was getting from P.E. classes in school. I decided to take matters into my own hands; I started going the gym everyday and doing online yoga videos 3 times a week. My activity starts when I get home from school; I have a quick snack, get dressed in the proper attire, make myself an energy drink, and head down to the gym of my apartment building. I enjoy the gym in my building because it has a wide variety of provided equipment for me to use and allows me to work out the different parts of my body I want to focus on. I will generally spend around an hour at the gym, using all the different machines; my favourite workout is punching the B.O.B. dummy because it works as a positive source for me to release my stress and anger. I am proud of myself for this activity because it made me comfortable with myself and made me feel more confident. It gave me a quiet place where I can take care of myself and simply listen to music without being overwhelmed by the rest of my problems.
