Animal Farm Graphic

Reflection:

While working on my animal project me and my group came up with ideas together and worked well together and very efficiently. We also added to each other’s ideas and made them better. During this project I learned how to work in a group better and how to communicate and build off of other people’s ideas. One thing I demonstrated was that I am an active listener and I support and encourage the person speaking. I did this by listening to whoever was speaking and giving positive feedback. I also listened to them when they had an idea to make my own ideas a bit better. We got a lot of stuff done in class and didn’t have to spend much of our own time completing this project. This is because we were working well and listening to each other speak and gave constructive criticism instead of arguing over little things all the time.

Another reason that we worked well together is that we all did an even amount of work. It wasn’t just one or two people doing all the work while the other people were doing nothing. This is also another reason that we got it done so fast and we were productive. We all worked until it was done and everyone was always doing something instead of being on their phone or talking to other groups instead of doing their own work. I also demonstrated that I can work with others to achieve a common goal, I do my share. We helped each other whenever we needed help and everyone was willing to help. Two people were working on our script and me and my partner were working on the poster. We would take turns drawing then fine lining and colouring it all in. We did our best to complete the project to the best of our ability and we all presented together and took turns speaking.

Our presentation was well prepared and everyone knew what they were doing before we presented. We all had an even amount of talking and there were no long gaps between the speakers. It was a fun project to work on together and all together I thought it went pretty well. We practiced our speech multiple times before so that everyone was confident that they knew what they were doing and so they knew what to say and when. This also helped because since we knew what we were supposed to say nobody was very nervous which made it go smoother and took a lot of stress off everyone. Overall I think that it was very fun to complete this project and to work with the group that I was in.

  1. You have not received a passing grade on this assignment to your blog. You have not attempted to include a reflection based around the core competencies in which you consider your growth and development as a learner. You must ensure that you upload your media to the page in an appropriate fashion and ensure that you have a reflection which is based around the language of the core competencies and in which you consider your development and growth as a learner and the process by which this assignment has led you to a new understanding of your skills and abilities. Some of the changes you may want to ask when improving your assignment are: Does your Information have little or nothing to do with the core competency? How could you improve this? Are your evidence and examples relevant AND/OR well explained? How could you better organize your reflection? Do you have at least 3 well constructed paragraphs? How could you improve on what you have submitted to accomplish this? You must use the language of the core competency to describe the skills you learned and how you could use the core competency in the future. You can find those prompts here. https://kodiaks.sd43.bc.ca/core-competency-reflection-sheets/
Please complete all these steps and email me a link to your assignment in the next two weeks, using your district email account. If you need help you can see me in room 213 at flex.
