Assignment #7 – Excel Graphing

Pie Chart:

This pie chart is showing the percentage of people that use each social media app, including TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, and YouTube. TikTok has the highest precentage because most people would rather watch shorter videos and make shorter videos, and TikTok is easier to get more views since so much people use it. However, the other apps has a lower percentage because it might not be as fun to use and post.

Bar Graph:

The bar graph shows the favorite season opinions that have been asked to 10 people. Summer has to most people and this is probably mostly because of no school. Other seasons however, may have breaks, but not for 2-3 months, only 2 weeks.

Line Graph:

This line graph shows a compound growth chart and how much it grows each year. Each year, it goes up by 0.2, so it is always an even decimal.

Assignment #3 – TOKW (Alternate)

I will be using MLA format for this assignment

I am answering reflection question #1, describe your first 2 months at Heritage.

My first 2 months at Heritage Woods was a lot, both good and bad. I never had expectations for high school, but I was terrified, of going to high school for the first year. I thought high school would be difficult, because of long hours of school, lots of homework, and being exhausted throughout. A good thing that I have noticed is that Heritage has lots of opportunities, like clubs, electives, etc. With the 2 electives I am doing right now, I am having lots of fun doing them and I have learned lots of new things. Something that I don’t enjoy is the homework. This isn’t too bad but the only reason I don’t enjoy it as much is because of my schedule. Overall, I love this school but these are some advice I would give!

  1. Stay organized. High school can be stressful with assignments, projects, and exams/tests. Being organized helps you stay focused, stay on top, and reduce stress. Something that could help with this is to use a planner. You can write down the tasks you need to do, but if you want to be even more organized, split the tasks into smaller steps. There are so many other ways to stay organized but this is one of them!

2. Ask for help. Asking for help is an important part of navigating high school. If you ever find yourself needing help, don’t hesitate to reach out to teachers, counselors, or even students. They can guide you on things, answer questions, and offer support. High school can be a big transition, but with a little help and support, you’ll find your way around!

3. Set goals. Setting goals is a great way to stay focused and motivated in high school. One tip for setting goals is to be specific. Clearly define what you want to accomplish. Another tip is to make them realistic, and set deadlines. Don’t make something easy to accomplish, nor do you want to make it impossible, and setting deadlines helps you stay focused on trying to accomplish that goal for that deadline.

Call to Action #63 iii is that social workers and others who manage child welfare investigations are educated well and trained about the history and impacts of residential schools. This is important because understanding the history and impacts of residential schools helps them make decisions.

In this video, I learned that Coquitlam has changed a lot. We have so many more advantages now than before (around 20 years ago), for example, the Kwikwetlem people had to live in trailers with no electricity. Right now, Coquitlam looks different because we have houses, apartments, and townhouses. The government of Coquitlam has changed Kwikwetlem a lot and we are trying to spread this so that people recognize their disadvantages in the past.
