Core competency paragraph reflection.
The core competency I chose for this science experiment was Critical thinking. I can reflect on and evaluate my thinking, products, and, actions. I demonstrated this after the project when I had to reflect on how I did, I had to evaluate my actions (what I did in the project). I can ask open-ended questions and gather information. I demonstrated this when we were creating ideas for the experiment, for the experiment we had to complete 40 push ups and drink a litre of water. I asked questions like why we had to do so many push ups and why we had drink so much water. I can moniter my progress and adjust my actions to make sure I achieve what I want. I think I shown a lot of critical thinking in this heart rate experiment.
For this science experiment I think I demonstrated Critical thinking. I can explore materials and actions. For this project we needed to complete 40 push-ups, I decided to explore actions to make the push-ups easier, but still put the same amount of effort. I can experiment with different ways of doing things. When we were coming up with ideas for this experiment, I had some ideas for what we could do. The idea was to do 40 push ups, but I had the idea of doing other activity’s such as jumping, jumping jacks or, running. We tested them and ended up doing push ups because it made us work the hardest. I think demonstrated mostly Critical thinking in this science experiment.
What I could have improved. I think I should have communicated my ideas more. When we creating our ideas for the project I wanted to do 20 push ups for the project rather then 40, also drink a bottle of water rather then a litre. We ended up drinking a litre of water because i didn’t stand up for my idea of drinking a bottle a of water. I think we could have finish the project over a shorter period of time. the project should have taken three days, but instead we finished it a week. Fortunately I a accomplished a lot in this experiment more then i failed.
