Texting story video
A core competency I used for the Texting story project is critical thinking. I can monitor my progress and adjust my actions to make sure I achieve what I want. When I was working on the texting story project, I checked my progress and realised the story was too long. In order to achieve what I wanted I had to shorten the story and change some the things that were said in the story. I can ask open-ended questions and gather information. I asked how my story should play out to a few peers, they read their stories and I got some ideas. I also asked how people communicate when they are upset, I gathered that information and put it in my story. I can reflect on and evaluate my thinking, products, and actions. I thought about the story and how it would play out, after I finished my work I checked it over to make sure the story was based off my original thoughts of the story. I have demonstrated critical thinking in my Texting story project, but I have also demonstrated other core competency’s.
In the Texting story project I demonstrated Positive Personal and Cultural Identity. I can identify my individual characteristics. During my project I identified one of my characteristics, I (attempted) to write an entertaining story, and I normally wright funny stories on my free time. I can describe/express my attributes, characteristics, and skills. When I was completing the texting story project I expressed my creativity in the story and showed the level of skill I had (in writing). I can reflect on my strengths and identify my potential as a leader in my community. In this project I reflected on my strengths, one of them is the ability to make stories, this could be useful if I work on a project with a group that involves making a story. I used Positive Personal and Cultural Identity in this project as a core competency.
Things I could have done better on in the Texting story project. I could have used my time more efficiently. I didn’t work on this project enough on the days we had, I could’ve better managed my time and organise my work. I think I could’ve asked earlier on how the app works, for the Texting story project. When I first downloaded the app I was unsure how to use it. I didn’t come forward for help soon enough, if I came earlier i may have completed it sooner. I think I could have had a peer edit my story. If I had someone else’s opinion on the story, I think I could have made a better story. During this project I think I should have spent more time editing the story. I spent one day editing the story and may have missed a few errors, I could’ve better managed my time for editing. I could have improved a few things in this project, but at the same time i was quit successful.
