Whatever you do, do it well. – Walt Disney

Invention Project

During this project, I showed creative thinking by usually making my ideas work within the constraints of a given form, problem, and materials if I keep playing with them, I build the skills I need to make my ideas work and usually succeed, even if it takes a few tries, and I get ideas that are new to my peers.

For making my ideas work within the constraints of a given form, problem, and materials if I keep playing with them, I used materials that I already had. I used a plastic mat, super glue and tape. I thought and played around with the materials until it clicked, the Scase. I needed to make the item fit on your phone case. This was hard because I couldn’t block the camera while fitting pencils still. I had to shred down the pencils so they fit and didn’t block the camera. This was a long, interminable process but I am happy how it turned out.

I build the skills I need to make my ideas work and usually succeed, even if it takes a few tries. I showed this by trying, again and again, to first come up with the idea and then actually making the product. There were many other options but this was the one that stuck. The idea was to find a way to always have a pencil on you. What do you have on you always? Your phone! This sparked the Scase idea.

For next time I would make the item a bit smaller and make the Scase different colours. I think that my partner and I did a good job of presenting and making the item. Also, I would make the poster I little bit more intriguing. Overall I thought we did a great job on the project.
