Current Lab Reflection

Current Lab Reflection – Communication

During this project, we were asked to find the correlation between the amount of cells and current. We ran an experiment testing and studying this. We had to record and find out the data. During this lab, I showed communication by being vocal during the lab. I showed how I connect and engage with others (to share and develop ideas), and collaborate to plan, carry out, and review constructions and activities.

I showed how I connect and engage with others (to share and develop ideas), we were vocal and had a great group effort. We were active listeners by listening to each other’s ideas and thoughts. Once in a while our group didn’t agree. We can recognize that there are different points-of-view and I can disagree respectfully. Also, I suggested try all of the group’s theories. Everybody in our group suggested different ideas that contributed to our lab. My other job was to get all of the materials and find observations about the lab. After the lab was over, we all contributed to making the sway. We divided it up and did equal work on it.

I also showed how I can collaborate to plan, carry out, and review constructions and activities. I showed this by working well in my group and listening to the instructions given during this lab. As a group, we followed the instructions given and found the data we needed to find. Also before going into the lab, we had a plan, but we didn’t end up following it due to the materials. But we mostly stuck to the plan made before. In addition to that, we all I can summarize key ideas and identify the ways we agree (commonalities). We all had to make a few sacrifices on our ideas. Lastly, I can take on roles and responsibilities in a group. All of us worked well and evenly. We all had different jobs to do during and after the lab but everybody did their fair share.

Some things I can do better next time include I give, receive, and act on feedback, and I can take on roles and responsibilities in a group. For next time I could take on a bigger role when working in the group. I could do some other roles besides getting the materials and studying the data and observations. Also, next time I could voice my opinion more and contribute a bit more. Overall, we worked well as a group and I would be happy to work with them again.
