Collaborating:

Collaborating is an effective way to get a job done. Group projects are a great example of this. Everyone needs to work together so that the work can get done. Some strategies I use include compromising and voicing my opinion. In a group, you won’t always get your way, but sometimes you have to put other’s wants before yourself. “There is no I in team”. But also you can’t be afraid to share your opinion. Every opinion matters. Every group member brings a new skill to the table. A good group will use lots of communication to work better together.

Critical and Reflective Thinking:

Being able to criticize yourself makes you better. It shows what you can do next time to make something better. I show this when self-reflecting. I am able to identify what I could’ve done better for next time so I can improve. If a younger student asked me about believing something online, I would say find out how reliable is the source. Is it real news or is it just to create rumors? After I would ask how realistic is the information given? Last I would find out the author writing it. How creditable are they? In our modern world, anyone can say anything behind a screen. Also, people aren’t always are who they say they are. Before believing anything, always find out the source and how reliable it is.

Social Awareness and Responsibility:

When you are feeling discouraged about a grade you may have got, it should motivate you to work harder next time. This ties into Critical and Reflective Thinking. Self-reflecting makes you better for next time. Instead of feeling discouraged, focus on how you can improve and get better next time. Within a community, it is a responsibility to make it a better place. You could volunteer and help out others. When it comes to a community, just pay it forward. A community is made from the people in it. Make it a better place.
