Extracurricular Paragraph

One of my favourite things to do in my spare time is Art , I have been doing art since I could remember, from scribbles to people. I was very creative when I was very young.One of my favourite memories of art was in grade one where we had an assignment to make an ordinary stick into an everyday object. I turned my stick into a paint brush and my teacher was so impressed that I earned a sticker ( now thinking about it , a sticker isn’t my greatest achievement in my life but as a 7 year old it was pretty special). After grade one I felt so inspired to create more art, when I found out my favourite types. I love cartooning , sketching , painting and watercolour! All of these types I love deeply and do almost everyday after school. I would love to make a job out of art one day and go to art school. Sometimes I realize that being an artist full time when Im older will not get me a good income.Thats why I want to become a graphic designer or animator when I grow up and create billboards or create a movie that will inspire little kids to do cool and great things! One of my favourite things to do on the weekends is go with my mom to the Vancouver art gallery, that’s what makes my mother and I’s relationship strong and great. I love artists from Leonardo de Vinci to Klimt. My favourite paintings is The girl with a pearl earring and the kiss. I actually saw the kiss in real life when I went to Vienna this summer. Art is my favourite way to express myself in many ways , it sort of gives me my confidence and how I dress and talk. Without art I don’t know what I’ll be doing right now in this very moment writing this paragraph.  Thats what art means to me. ( Thats me in the photo :0 )

Novelty and Value   

During the English Sway timeline project , When I was doing queen Elizabeth the first slide , I added some different ideas and thoughts that I read in previous books. I played on if that’s what you call it. My evidence is :” In March of 1603 Queen Elizabeth the First died and King James VI of Scotland  to the throne. Elizabeth was known as one of the best Queens that ever ruled England. She was very kind and the people adored her. Her palace included poets and artists , and she adored William Shakespeare’s plays. Elizabeth never married and never had children. Thats Why King James VI went into the Throne.”When Adding on or creating a sentence in my own words, I generate a lot of ideas when creating sentences. Its kind of cool how I can generate ideas ,in my brain without writing them down , the same with essays. My evidence is : On slide 6. 

Generating Ideas 

I build on to others ideas such as if I see a trusted article paragraph and get my ideas off there without plagiarizing , I contribute my ideas to the paragraph I write. You can see my evidence on slide 3 . I pursue my interests into making my slides and paragraphs , by what I learn in different scenarios such as this topic of the English revolution. I like to use my interests to pursue my paragraphs.

Developing Ideas 

I like to re write or write my ideas on paper or on my laptop, Its pretty normal for me to keep writing and re- sentencing my paragraphs. In my English timeline , I took a lot of time and thought into my timeline.  I build the skills I needed to make during the making of the timeline. It doesn’t  really come easy to me but it surprisingly did during this timeline project. I can usually make my ideas work in projects , I just need to think and observe ; is this right, is the information correct? That usually helps me during mini projects. My evidence is on slide 3. 

Things I want to Improve on :

To explore more ideas and be more open to them, and get new ideas from my peers ( I tend to work better alone )

A BIT ABOUT ME 

Hello, My name is Amelie , I am in 9th grade at Heritage Woods Secondary.    I love art very much, mostly drawing and painting. I love traveling to different places with my parents, I have been to over 13 places in Europe , 6 places in USA and 2 times to Mexico . I love to listen to different music and I love retro 80’s to early 2000’s vibes, I really want to direct or be in a short film that will win awards one day.My favourite bands and singers include : Girl in red , Claire o , Liza. If I had to pick a favourite food it would be Sushi or Pasta.  I  also have a little dog named Georgia who is mixed with 6 in a half dogs, she is probably the sweetest dog you will ever meet.  I really also like English and history and maybe learning a different language (right now I’m learning Spanish and Polish).I enjoy playing Badminton and I’m hoping to work on running for cross country.  I hope to learn more things in my next four years in high school!

one of my favourite paintings next to Monet’s ” Bridge over a pond” painting, When I was in Vienna I saw the real ” Kiss ” painting in the gallery. I love how its abstract with realism involved. I love the bursts of colour and the texture of it. Im actually painting it right now which is funny. Klimt is definitely my favourite artist of all time!
