-today we started our ballad assignment.  Please see below for the outline.

-using the poem from class today, find the literary devices discussed in class today AND what is the meaning of this poem.  Who is the intended audience?  Do you agree with what they are saying?

-finish stanza for Lord Hartley group ballad. -think of an issue that you believe strongly in and find an article that addresses or supports your issue.  Ex: Animal Testing, Global warming, Abuse of Power, etc.

-please finish marking the rhyme scheme for the poem handed out last class. -have parents email me about the writing conference, if they have not done so already.

-today we started Lit Circles and poetry. -please make sure that you talk to your parents about our recent writing conference and have them email me to confirm they know how you are doing.

-using the poem Work Ethics, find the rhythm, rhyme scheme, & main idea for each stanza.

-please complete the Ballad worksheet for Tuesday. -see attachment for notes on Poetry

-be ready to present your Lit Circles on Tuesday. -please have your parents email me about our writing conference if you took a picture to show them.  Otherwise I will email everyone who has met me for their conference today.

-today we continued with the writing conferences and worked on preparing for your upcoming Lit Circles.
