Current Lab Reflection

For the current lab that we did together, 3 important core competencies were involved. The first one was collaborating to plan, carry out, and review constructions and activities. We showed this by gathering the required materials from reading the instructions, observing closely, and taking pictures of the results and putting them on our Sway. We recorded the results on the data table in the lab sheet and made graphs out of them on Excel.

The second was questioning and investigating. For our hypothesis, we asked ourselves if the current would decrease for both series and parallel if we added for more light bulbs. Eventually we found out that it was true for series, but not for parallel. The current actually increased for parallel instead. We put the answers in our two graphs. Last but not least, the third was explaining/recounting and reflecting on experiences and activities. We demonstrated this with reflecting on our hypothesis and writing the conclusions for series and parallel.

Now onto some things I would do to improve on for next time. Firstly, I will check the light bulbs or whatever important material we’re testing more carefully, as for the experiment some bulbs still didn’t work. Also we could check the amps with the ammeter because it wasn’t steady every time. We described those in our Sway. Those are the two things I can work on together with my group.
