Core Competency: Critical Thinking

In my first project of English, I was asked to make a propaganda poster and the to write an explanation for the poster. Coming into this project I was thrilled that I would have the chance of working with a partner. With the open-minded question of did I explore tools that I haven’t touched before. With that in mind, I chose a new application that I haven’t used before hoping that I would strengthen my abilities and make me a better Photoshopper. I chose to do it on photoshop because anyone can do it on paper or PowerPoint, but not everyone can do it on photoshop, and by doing it on photoshop it would make me a better user of the program. Another time that I showed critical thinking was when I asked open-ended questions and find ways to gather information. During the researching portion of our poster, I used my brain to seek information about the poster and how it could attract more people. The last thing that I worked well on was my ability to consider more than one way of proceeding in an investigation. I know I worked well on that because there were many times where photoshop didn’t work with me, and by persevering and trying other things, the ending results were better than what I had imagined. 

“Believe what you like, but don’t believe everything you read without questioning it.” ~ Pauline Baynes. Developing and designing is one among my biggest strengths and normally shine the most with visible projects. Because this turned into a poster project, I was able to show this competency pretty well when arising for a design of thoughts for our propaganda poster. During the early degrees of the poster, I turned into experimenting with the layout thoughts and searching for some pics that would affect the viewer the most. My companion and I needed to undergo many experiments and try to come up with something that happy us. After we caught on to our concept, I should display the progress and adjust any movements to make sure I become headed closer to my goal. This blanketed minor changes to completely changing up the order of things. Finally, I become able to increase standards for evaluating layout alternatives in the course of our idea improvement stage. Knowing that we had to use propaganda, I may want to use positive figures and designs to make it match the standards. The colorant topics we used were additionally evaluated from the criteria and changed if needed. Needless to say, I assume I did a great task of displaying my strengths in growing and designing. 

A core competency that I could enhance on might be having a deliberate approach to quiet my conscious mind. This is a superb approach to have whilst you are writing and absolutely listening and know-how the characters. I could demonstrate this subsequent time by not being so rushed next time once I write. I need to simply take a deep breath and not assume negative thoughts approximately my poster and explanation. Because I was rushing things, I sense like my poster may want to have grew to become out a bit better. However, I know that for next time now and the next time I even have an undertaking I will exercise this. By knowing this next time, I shell take to the time to make sure that my poster is up to standards and makes me confident in my work.
